Greetings from the Family Resources Program at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House with an update on our Family Drop-in! Our Family Resources Program supports the development of happy, healthy, families through drop-ins, parent education workshops, support services, and other family-centered programs.
Though our Friday Family Drop-in was originally located at 3981 Main Street, we moved outside into the fresh air and sunshine to Riley Park. Throughout the summer, we’ve stayed connected, delivering music, heartwarming stories, captivating songs, and even welcoming special guests! We extend our thanks to the families who have embraced the change in location and for their willingness to continue to join the program despite our setback.
Starting this fall, the Early Years Drop-in program affected by the fire will be moving indoors to the Fountain Alliance Church just behind the Little Mountain Neighbourhood house to continue this program for all our community members. This transition ensures that everyone can continue to enjoy our much-loved program.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Maria Valenzuela, our dedicated Family Resource Manager, whose unwavering support has been invaluable. We also extend our appreciation to Megan, our parent volunteer, whose help in gathering program supplies for our Early Years program has been incredibly appreciated.
